At Your School Programme
The 'At Your School' programme brings the excitement of high quality theatre, music and dance to children in their school hall, during the Festival in early June.
We appreciate that times are difficult for the arts, for schools and for families which is why we are committed to protecting arts for children through the festival and enabling schools to enjoy these performances at subsidised rates.
How It Works
When you book a show with us, we ask you to check that you hall is big enough and that you can accommodate the performances around lunch set-up. Please note that all performances and workshops must be supervised by school staff at all times.
We make all contract arrangements with the companies and arrange their travel and accomomodation while in Leicester. We will put them in touch with you to make final arrangements for arrival and setting up.
On the day, it is helpful if you can allocate someone to look after the company, organise the seating of the children and perhaps offer a cup of tea! A representative from The Spark Festival will also hope to attend the performance and get some feedback from the children and teachers.
You will be invoiced after the festival and will also be asked for feedback at that time.
The school's programme is announced in a bulletin to all city primary schools in the Autumn term, with an additional bulletin in January. To find out about booking a show for your school please contact the Spark Festival on 0116 261 6893 or email@example.com or join our mailing list.
