Imaginative Neighbourhoods is an artist in residence scheme that builds on the success of the Imaginative Spaces project to support storytelling as a medium to promote reading for pleasure and language development.
The scheme has been successful in gaining funding to continue for a second year. Artists Owen Craven-Griffiths, Parmjit Sagoo and Dave "Stickman" Higgins will work with neighbourhood staff, schools, family and community groups to re-imagine these spaces as cultural hubs at the heart of the community. This will enable local children and families to take part in the many creative activities that can be realised alongside reading.
The artists are developing a year-round programme of events and community engagement programmes that support and develop the facilities.

Creative Champions / Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers for events and Creative Champions to support the regular activity in these areas. If you would be interested in finding out more, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Creative Champions are volunteers who are able to commit to regular activity over 6-12 weeks. In recognition of this commitment the 'artist in residence' would support your personal development in creative skills, session planning, training and mentoring with an opportunity for you to receive training in Arts Award.
