Volunteering with The Spark
We have volunteers who work with us before and during the festival, as well as at other times throughout the year. Volunteers need to be over 18, and may be required to have a DBS check.
To hear about any volunteer opportunities, please join the volunteers mailing list.
We are looking for volunteers for events and Creative Champions to support our work in Libraries and Neighbourhood Centres throughout the year.
Creative Champions are volunteers who are able to commit to regular activity over 6-12 weeks. In recognition of this commitment the 'artist in residence' would support your personal development in creative skills, session planning, training and mentoring with an opportunity for you to receive training in Arts Award.

The Spark Festival
Our Festival volunteers are the main point of contact to the public. They welcome visitors in our festival venues and encourage them to complete audience feedback questionnaires, promote other Spark events across the city, ensure the efficient operation of performances and participatory events and support visiting companies during the "At Your School" week.
For the 2018 festival we are looking for commitment of 2 - 3 days over the bank holiday weekend, May 26 - 28. We also look for support around March/April to help with marketing the festival.
We are especially interested in any parent and child partnerships who would like to volunteer jointly (child must be over 12).
To find out more about volunteering for the festival please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Student placements – we regularly host students on placement from local colleges and universities. We are not able to provide work placements for school children.
