With plenty of activities to keep you entertained, there won't be a dull moment at Curve's Family Day.
Explore the spaces and foyers within the theatre, hear live music in the cafe from 1pm - 2pm, dress up in costume, bring your unwanted toys and take away a toy looking for a new home in the toy swap shop, take a back stage tour.
Among all this there are also the following activities for you to enjoy:
Poems to Go - The tastiest poetry made to order
Join the Spark's resident poet and a team of young writers as they cook up a delicious serving of literary treats. With a fresh delivery of metaphors and similes ready to spice up with some zany word play and poetic pepper. All tastes are catered for and delivery is guaranteed within 15 minutes.
Multicultural Story Lab
Join us on Curve's Foyer stage for a day of stories from across Eastern Europe. Our storytellers will share tales of magic and intrigue from Poland to the Ukraine travelling through Russia and back again. Using native speaking storytellers the Multicultural Story Lab will be a unique opportunity to discover new stories shared in a range of languages.
Running across the day, suitable for all the family
A special highlight is The Circle Squared - an interactive digital dome by Artist Graham Elstone. The installation uses touch, sound and the moving image to share stories inspired by the circular arc of folklore and myths. Circle Squared will be sited on Curve's main stage until Sunday.
We're excited to be working in partnership with Bring the Paint at this year's Festival. They will be running children's graffiti workshops from 11am-4pm on Curve's mezzanine.
Drop in with the family at any time to give it a go.
