Theatre for Young Audiences:
The Quality of Difference 1
- 3.3o - 5pm
An open network meeting
Throughout 2017 TYA are seeking to address a question fundamental to our work and the development of theatre for younger audiences:
What do we need to put in place to ensure theatre for children, young people and families is reflective of the society we live in today?
This is stage one of a longer research process looking into diversity across our sector, and has a focus on work made by BAME and disabled artists. The question will be explored through two strands of work: mapping current provision in the UK; and conversations abroad at the Assitej World Summit in Cape Town.
This Open Meeting will be an opportunity to share knowledge and practice around methods of engagement, and ways in which we create opportunities for artists, organisations and audiences.
