DMU Student Placements
As part of our partnership with De Montfort University we offer these opportunities to their students.
Work Placement - Festival
One student from the Arts & Festival Management course joins the team for their Placement Module in March/April each year. They are offered the opportunity to work alongside the team as we start the marketing distribution, put in place the final pieces of Festival adminstration and launch the Festival Brochure. Those students who are available often go on to be part of the festival volunteer team.
Please ask your module leader for more information.
Each year we recruit 6 Team Leaders for the Festival who are crucial in delivery all the events, supporting the activities, welcoming participants and promoting the other events around the city.
Based in one of six venues, these Team Leaders will be our "expert" in all things festival! You will support a small team of volunteers representing the Spark, explaining and promoting the City Playground activities and all Festival events to family audiences attending the venues during the half term week.
Available to under-graduates and post-graduates from all courses, you need to be available for up to 4 days over the festival (21-28 May) and at least two days over the weekend (26-28 May).
To apply for one of these positions please email firstname.lastname@example.org by 5 March.
