The Spark Arts for Children
The Spark Arts for Children is looking for artists to join them on Vital Spark; a programme addressing the lack of diversity in performance for children and young people.
We have an opportunity to work with a group of talented artists identifying as BAME/Person of Colour, D/deaf and/or Disabled through 2019-2020. This work with artists includes an Artist Development Programme and seed commissioning of new work through the Ideas Fund.
The aim is to broaden the range of artists in the children's sector and support the development of work that is relevant to and representative of all children today.
Tara Lopez (Creative Producer) will be visiting cities and venues across England through June and July 2019 to deliver informal networking events and speak to artists about the Vital Spark opportunities.
- an experienced artist working in a performance based art form?
- passionate about the arts for children and young people?
- interested in making performance work for children and young people aged 0-13?
- someone who could help us address the lacking diversity in the sector?
