- Sat 15 & Sun 16 Feb
- Free - just drop in
A weekend of shape-based fun, drawing pictures, making sculptures and playing games.
Younger and older brothers and sisters always welcome.
Circles: Sat 15 Feb 11:30am - 1pm (0 - 4 years)
A drop in play led drawing workshop for children under five years. Older siblings always welcome.
When lines loop, round and round and coming back to the beginning drawing with balloons and string and magical things we create circles. They can be faces or Ferris wheels or clocks or the moon and the planets or animals. And if you add circles together you can make clouds and solar systems and plants and animals.
Triangles: Sat 15 Feb 2.30pm - 4:30pm (5 - 11 years)
A drop in play led workshop for children between five and eleven years. Younger and older siblings always welcome.
Using ribbons and string and magical things we make webs in space, criss-crossing lines to make thousands of triangles. We will fill the gallery with lots of triangles creating patterned dens and mazes and walls and windows. The light will make the drawings in the air into drawings on the ground that we can walk around and follow.
Squares and Rectangles: Sun 16 Feb 11am - 1pm (0 - 4 years)
When lines are straight and rigid and tall and filled with corners they can make rectangles and squares. They can buildings or cliff faces or rockets or castles or the horizon in the distance. With boxes and tape we draw lines through the gallery on the floor to create tracks and paths and spaces, that might be buildings in cities, or space ships or the worlds inside computers.
There are no future performances of this event.
