Booking a school performance
The 'At Your School' programme brings extraordinary theatre, music and dance to children in their school hall, part of our yearly Festival in February.
Throughout The Spark Festival we offer a range of high quality opportunities for children, teachers and the wider school community to experience the richness of live performance at subsidised rates.
Our offer ranges from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 3 and promises to provide authentic cultural experiences for every child to engage and learn from. The programme can also contribute towards the schools Artsmark award.

How it works
When you book a show with us, we ask you to check that you hall is big enough and that you can accommodate the performances around lunch set-up. Please note that all performances and workshops must be supervised by school staff at all times.
We make all contract arrangements with the companies and arrange their travel and accommodation while in Leicester. We will put them in touch with you to make final arrangements for arrival and setting up.
On the day, it is helpful if you can allocate someone to look after the company, organise the seating of the children and perhaps offer a cup of tea! A representative from The Spark Festival will also hope to attend the performance and get some feedback from the children and teachers.
You will be invoiced after the festival and will also be asked for feedback at that time.
The school's programme is announced in a bulletin to all city primary schools in the Summer term, with an additional bulletin in September. To find out about booking a show for your school, and the learning opportunities around it, please contact Gemma at The Spark Festival on 07825 766377 / 0116 261 6893.
Arts Award & Artsmark
Hosting or visiting theatre shows can be the perfect link for children to achieve an Arts Award as well as contribute to the schools Artsmark journey. The Spark are an Arts Award Supporter and and Artsmark Partner, so we can work with you to use these programmes to enhance classroom learning around the performance.
