Run Leicester Half Marathon
and raise money for The Spark Arts for Children
- 30 October 2022
- 13.1 miles
- Start/end: Victoria Park, Leicester
- Cost: £30 to enter (cover administration costs)
and we ask you to pledge to raise at least £200 for our charity
- Open to all abilities
This dynamic and rewarding event is scheduled for 30 October 2022 and will start and finish at Leicester's Victoria Park. You will run in the city centre, along Leicester's Golden Mile and through Watermead Park and Abbey Park - discovering parts of this beautiful city you've never seen before!
Runners who take part range from enthusiastic amateurs to club athletes. So, if it is your first ever half marathon or you are striving for a new personal best this is the run for you!
The event is not-for-profit, and we would love you to enter and run for our charity.
Your contribution will go towards The Spark Festival 2023. A donation of £200 means that a musician can lead an interactive workshop with children in a Leicester school, an artist can work with under 5s in a local library or give children their first experience of live theatre.
We believe that no matter where children live or how much their family earns - every child deserves to have access to extraordinary arts as we know how much this enhances confidence, social skills, and well-being.
Your pledge to us
To cover the administration costs, we are asking people who enter to pay £30. Having a goal is important therefore we ask you to pledge to raise at least £200 in sponsorship for our charity.
Our pledge to you
The Spark team has some super skilled runners who will be taking part and will share top tips with anyone who runs for us. From training advice, what to wear, the best pre and post workout snacks to our favourite running anthems – we will keep you motivated and smiling.
Plus, here at The Spark we know exactly how to pull in the crowds and galvanise an audience - we promise there will be plenty of cheering.
