Adriano Adewale: Music project 2020

our world : nosso mundo

a music residency and performance project.

: nosso mundo will be a music performance in partnership with young people – it will ask what does it mean to be a 9 year old boy/girl and on the edge of an environmental disaster. Through the exploration of theme we will explore the sound of the dirty waters, the burning trees and the melting ice.

We will create different sound worlds with each participating school – working ultimately to weave together a narrative full of tension and distortion – quiet reflection and resolution using percussion, drums, voices and junk instruments.

Brazilian composer and percussionaist Adriano Adewale will be in residence with 3 schools in Leicester, who will come together to perform with him and his band at The Y Theatre as part of the Spark Festival 2020.
