Posted: Tue, 28 May 2013 22:20
As part of this year's Spark Festival, Phoenix will be hosting exciting children's media production workshops for budding filmmakers and musicians. DigiKids during half term will give youngsters a taste of the exciting world of making music and film.
Perfect for children aged 7 and over, DigiKids is a one day workshop in three sections enabling children to create their own music, make films and explore digital media. The music production workshop will offer a 'hands on' introduction to creating music, giving young people the opportunity to produce their own music track and explore how computers can be used to manipulate sound. For the film workshop, youngsters will spend an hour developing ideas using imaginative and fun performance based methods. Then budding filmmakers will spend an hour in front of the camera using green screen technology, gaining confidence to express their own ideas through film production. Young people will then explore digital media, learning how to use basic programming tools to experiment and play with film and sound.
DigiKids is a one-day workshop which will run on Wednesday 29 May, Thursday 30 May and Friday 31 May from 10am until 2.30pm. The workshops are suitable for ages 7 plus and day tickets cost £25. To book please call 0116 242 2800.
