Are you a young artist in England? Aged 4-18? Don't miss this fantastic chance for your work to be shown alongside established artists in an exhibition that will tour to major galleries!
Generation ART: Young Artists on Tour is a new exhibition that will begin at Turner Contemporary, Margate this June, before touring to New Walk Museum and Art Gallery and Soft Touch Arts in Leicester, and Quay Arts on the Isle of Wight in 2015-16.
If you'd like to see your art in these amazing venues - alongside work by established artists - all you need to do is send us a digital image of ONE artwork of which you are particularly proud.
Tell us how, when, where and why you made it. Maybe you were inspired by a professional artist, or by a visit to a gallery? If so we would really like to know! It can be art in any medium - digital, video, painting, drawing, sculpture; it can be a finished artwork, or a piece of research - a drawing, study or model or maquette. Your choice.
But DON'T miss the deadline: 10am on Tuesday 7 April 2015!
A panel of young and adult artists will then select the most exciting art for the exhibition. Even if your work doesn't get to go on tour, it may well feature in the high profile Generation ART online resource, showcasing the talent and creativity of young artists today.
Submit your work online at www.engage.org/GenART, and spread the word to your friends. Teachers, workshop leaders and parents/guardians can also enter for individuals and groups aged 4 to 18, so please let them know too.
Connect on Facebook at www.facebook.com/GenerationARTYoungArtistsOnTour, or if you prefer to use Twitter or Instagram you can use the hashtag #GenART_Tour to see updates and images relating to the exhibition.
Run by engage, the National Association for Gallery Education, in collaboration with venues and partners, Generation ART is supported by Arts Council England's Strategic touring programme.
