From The Spark to the RSC!
The Spark’s Creative Producer for Learning will take up a new role as Learning Partnerships Manager at the Royal Shakespeare Company.
It is with enormous pride that The Spark Arts for Children celebrate that our current Creative Producer: Learning will take up a new role as Learning Partnerships Manager at the Royal Shakespeare Company.
After a tremendous 8 years’ service at The Spark Arts for Children, Gemma Bhagalia will depart The Spark at the end of December to embark on an exciting next stage of her career. Working at one of the UK’s largest and internationally renowned theatres- the RSC. During her time at The Spark Gemma has pioneered the organisation’s approach to embedding our year-round learning offer for schools, whilst at the same time steering our work with by and for children across Leicester and the Midlands through our library touring programme Among Ideal Friends.
During her time, Gemma has created the Creativity Councils with a number of our partner schools, managed and led The City Classroom (Leicester’s Cultural Education Partnership) and pioneered the organisation’s approach to child voice work through our hugely successful Takeover programmes at our annual festivals.
