This playful and informative CPD training, led by the Daryl Beeton, Artistic Associate of The Spark, offered an insight into the ‘Vital Spark way’ of working with artists whose lived experience is key to their creativity and our own development as a company.

In 2018 Vital Spark was born as a programme to address the lack of diversity in the Performance for Young Audiences (PYA) sector and 5 years later it has become a movement. Through case studies, creative activities and discussions this training offered an insight into the Vital Spark way of inclusive recruitment, building mutual relationships with artists, flexible approaches to commissioning and supporting artists from idea conception to production.
