The Spark Festival - Give it a go
We Know Best: Courage Workshop
Saturday 18 May 2024
How can adults be as brave as children? Put your big pants on and be prepared to be scared silly by the children.
The Spark Arts for Children and De Montfort University presents
We Know Best: Courage Workshop
Drop in to this exciting session and explore what scares us.
Do our fears change as we grow up?
Are adults afraid of the dark?
Do adults check for a monster under the bed?
At this drop in workshop family groups will take part together using a variety of atmospheric materials to create scary or spooky environments…
The children are in charge here. So grown ups put your big pants on… You are gonna need them!
What is the We Know Best Project?
Imagine a world where adults have lost the ability to be creative, choosing comfort over courage, paying bills instead of playing, and not quite as clever as they think they are.
Don’t worry adults! Us children can help. We Know Best.
Come along to the free workshops for all the family, exploring the themes of “We Know Best.” The children are in charge, and over the next three years, The Spark and De Montfort University (DMU) will co-create a research-led project.
We Know Best began its co-creation journey in 2016, developed initially with Almeida Academy participants at Almeida Theatre, London, Jordana Golbourn and Christopher Gorry.
