In 2016, The Spark and Leicestershire Music Education Hub selected three Leicester City schools to join our Young People’s Music Club residency. Brazilian percussionist Adriano Adewale worked with students across the three schools and introduced them to worldwide music.

Together they learnt about Samba instruments and rhythms, and created a composition that was performed with Adriano’s band in the 2Funky Music Café in Leicester. Each child also had the opportunity to complete the Arts Award as part of the project.
