What is the We Know Best Project?

Imagine a world where adults have lost the ability to be creative, choosing comfort over courage, paying bills instead of playing, and not quite as clever as they think they are. Don’t worry adults! Us children can help. We Know Best.

Come along to the free workshops for all the family, exploring the themes of “We Know Best.” The children are in charge, and over the next three years, The Spark and De Montfort University (DMU) will co-create a research-led performance project. We’re looking for loads of families to attend the workshops, get creative, and have fun playing.

We Know Best began its co-creation journey in 2016, developed initially with Almeida Academy participants at Almeida Theatre, London, Jordana Golbourn and Christopher Gorry. This scaled up new version will develop the idea with 1000s of children nationally over a three year period, culminating in a research driven performance project “We Know Best: A small human’s guide to big human problems”.
