National Play Day
Celebrate National Play Day – Wednesday 6th August!
Join The Spark Arts for Children at Libraries and Children’s Centres across Leicester for a fun-filled day of creativity, music, dance, and storytelling — all to celebrate and advocate for children’s right to play!
🕘 Morning Sessions:
- Explore sound and rhythm with Dave ‘Stickman’ – Pork Pie Library, 9:30am – 11:00am
- Hands-on creativity with Rachel – Saffron Children’s Centre, 10:00am – 12:00pm
🕐 Afternoon Sessions:
- Dance with Karla – Thurnby Lodge Children’s Centre, 1:00pm – 2:30pm
- Movement with Kath – The BRITE Centre, 1:00pm – 2:30pm
- Make music with Maisy – Cossington Park/Belgrave Children’s Centre, 1:00pm – 2:30pm
- Sound and rhythm with Dave ‘Stickman’ – New Parks Children’s Centre, 1:00pm – 3:00pm
- Storytelling with Peter – Highfields Children’s Centre, 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Bring your imagination and get ready to play! All sessions are free and aimed at 0–8 year olds.
