Get ready to be part of something brilliant! Spark Festival returns 16–24 May 2026, and we’re looking for enthusiastic, friendly volunteers to volunteer at various events in Leicester.

Whether you’re a seasoned festival helper or brand new to volunteering, this is your chance to be at the heart of the action, meet amazing people, and help create unforgettable experiences for children, families, and artists.

📅 Key Volunteer Dates & Locations

We’re especially looking for volunteers on:

  • Sunday 17th May – Takeover at DeMontfort University (DMU)

  • Saturday 23rd May – Venue tbc

Full festival runs 16–24 May 2026 — join us for one day or both!

What Will You Be Doing?

Expect variety, energy, and plenty of smiles! Volunteer roles may include:

🎟️ Welcome Desk
Be the friendly face of the festival — greeting audiences, checking tickets, counting attendance and helping families find their way, whilst collecting feedback

🎨 Creative Activity Support
Assist artists and workshop leaders with hands-on activities (think crafts, interactive art, and imaginative play)

🎭 Performance Support
Help manage welcoming audiences, support the company, and ensure shows run smoothly.

📸 General Festival Support
From setting up, Sharing information, encourage participation, staffing information points, supporting set-up, event stewarding.
